NEW Product update! - Improved item upload experience
There are a range of options for adding items to RM Compare sessions.
- There are many types of items you can use
- As an Admin you can add items yourself, or you can allow other participants in the session to add their own items.
Regardless of your approach we know how important it is to make the process as reliable, transparent, and simple as possible.
Improved reliability
We have spent some time in the back-end of the system making some improvements to the Document Upload Service (DCS). We were encountering a few occasions where documents were failing to upload for a variety of reasons. Testing has shown that things are now much improved which will allow users to upload items with confidence.
Improved transparency
On the rare occasions when the DCS was having problems the system did a poor job in communicating the issue to the end user. We have added some additional functionality to the UI to assist.
- Countdown Timer: When you upload a new item into the system a new 2 minute countdown time is shown. In the highly unlikely situation where this times out, the user is provided with guidance on potential causes and suggestions for next steps.
- Upload Status Bar: This new facility helps the user to quickly identify the status of items during the upload process. This is particularly valuable to the session admin who is bringing multiple items into the system themselves or from Contributing Judges (See below).

We have made several improvements to the upload experience to help you get your 'stuff' into the system in the most efficient way.
