Unheard Voices, Lost Potential - the importance of assessment in oracy education

Assessment matters

The RM Compare Team are privileged to do 'important' work. We know that the product we are working on has the potential to be highly impactful at both system and individual levels. In this regard our commitment to purpose, vision and mission are very real.

This sense of completing important work is shared by the people we work with, none more so than Voice 21. For some time now we have been working closely together to tackle the challenge of oracy assessment. We know that effective and efficient assessment is key to promoting oracy toward its proper place in the education landscape. We also know that doing this successfully at scale is not easy!

You can read more about our progress so far in our recently released case study.

Focus on the user and all else follows - we need your help!

Our highest priority is to deliver user value. We understand this by working as close as possible with end users. Next week we are excited to attend the Voice 21 Annual Conference: Unheard Voices, Lost Potential. We will be using this opportunity to share our latest thoughts on oracy assessment including some proofs of concepts (POC). The insights we gain from this process are crucial and we are looking forward to talking to as many people as possible. If you are attending the event (and why wouldn't you be!) please come and say hello.
