Private Sessions

Private sessions ensure Session Creators are in control at all times

Your own sessions

When you create a Session it becomes visible (Read-only) to all other Session Creators in your Licence Centre.

It will also be visible to any connected Licence Centres if they have a Datashare Connector linked to your Licence Centre.

You can stop visibility of your session by turning on the Private Session button.

In the example below Licence Centre B cannot see any sessions regardless of the Privacy Button setting because it does not have a Datashare connector in place. Centre C does have a Datashare connector and can see session where the button is not turned on - the same is true for other Session Creators on in Licence Centre A.

Contributions to other sessions (Multi-Centre sessions)

If you contribute to a Multi-Cohort Session created by another user all data pertaining to that session is visible to the Session Creator regardless of the status of the Session Privacy button.

Turning the Privacy Button on in this scenario will still adhere to the visibility rules outlined above (Your own sessions) for other Session Creators in your Licence Centre, or any connected Licence Centres with Datashare.

In the example below Licence Centre B has created a Multi-Centre session. All data shared into this session is visible to Licence Centre B regardless of the Private Session setting by contributors in other Licence Centres.
